This curatorial initiative distinguishes artists who translate emotional experience into form, privileging poetry over ironic detachment or analytical distance, and focusing on practices that, even at an early stage, carry the force and coherence of deeply affecting work.
This website was created by Kavi Dalal. He grew up in San Francisco and graduated from the School of Arts and Architecture at UCLA. He then spent two years working in India, first at the Museum of Art and Photography in Bangalore and then at Christie’s in Mumbai, in the South Asian Modern and Contemporary department. He is now based in San Francisco, where he manages a gallery dealing in modern and contemporary art.
